The crash and subsequent investigation led to the closure of Highway 17 in both directions between Campbell Drive and Anderson Road for approximately 12 hours, with the roadway reopened to traffic at about 3:20 p.m. one person in the SUV and they were pronounced dead at the scene, police said, without providing further information. No other injuries were reported.
