Two people from Arnprior were to appear in court in Perth on Friday to face charges of second-degree murder and indignity to a dead body in connection with the discovery of a body in a burned-out vehicle in Mississippi Mills in mid-September.
The Ontario Provincial Police said in an Oct. 2 news release that Lindsay Dolan, 37, and Dylan Zoobkoff, 33, had been arrested in Saskatchewan on Sept. 30 with the assistance of the RCMP and police services in Regina and Winnipeg.
On Sept. 11, shortly before 5:15 p.m., the Lanark County detachment of the OPP and the Mississippi Mills Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire in a wooded area off Ramsay Concession 12. The body of a 37-year-old Mississippi Mills resident was located inside the vehicle.
That person has not been identified publicly.
Both Dolan and Zoobkoff remained in custody as of Friday, the OPP release said.
The investigation was continuing. Anyone with related information was asked to contact Lanark County OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Anonymous tips can be given to Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477 or online at ontariocrimestoppers.ca.
