VANCOUVER – A Vancouver police officer has told a public hearing into the fatal arrest of Myles Gray that he was the strongest man he has ever encountered in 15 years of policing.

Const. Beau Spencer told the hearing in Vancouver on Friday about his role in the events of Aug. 13, 2015, that began with an “unnerving” call for assistance from a colleague who encountered the man on a residential street in Burnaby, near the Vancouver boundary.
