Toronto police bomb squad investigating suspicious package at St. Clair and Yonge

Toronto police are investigating after a suspicious package was spotted in the St. Clair Avenue and Yonge Street area on Monday morning.

Police were called to the location around 7:45 a.m. where a backpack was found unattended.

The Explosives Disposal Unit has been called in.

St. Clair Avenue is closed between Yonge Street and Avoca Avenue and drivers are advised to use alternate routes.
