On Sept. 17, Weizmann Canada hosted “The Healing Power of Science” at Koerner Hall, an event that raised funds for Weizmann’s educational arm, the Davidson Institute of Science Education. Panelists included Mandana Dayani, Sara Foster and Davidson CEO Liat Ben David. The event, presented by the Shelly Avital and Darcy Morris Foundation, included a tribute to the late philanthropist and women’s health advocate Marvelle Koffler. Her children ― Tiana, Theo and Tom ― presented the inaugural Marvelle Koffler Award for Women of Distinction to Francie Klein, to honor her work as an ambassador advancing science for the future of humanity.
