If you’re a Swiftie, one Toronto hotel is going to look pretty familiar next month as the city and businesses prepare for global superstar Taylor Swift’s visit for the “Eras Tour.”
The Bisha Hotel Toronto, located in the heart of downtown at 56 Blue Jays Way, has announced that in November it will launch a total transformation of all seven floors of the mixed use building that house its 96 hotel rooms — the others in the 44-storey building contain residences — with a full Taylor Swift experience for visiting fans.
The five-star hotel says it is committed to providing a “fun atmosphere” tailored to Swifties .
“Every corner is infused with the spirit of Taylor Swift,” the hotel said in a news release.
Swift is to perform at the Rogers Centre — minutes away by foot from the Bisha — for six sold-out shows from Nov. 14 to 16 and Nov. 21 to 23 — setting a record as the first artist to play six shows at the downtown stadium.
Aaron Harrison, general manager of the Bisha, said this is the first time the hotel has done a complete rebranding of its space for an event in the city .
“It’s just about turning the hotel into a place for Taylor’s fans to come and experience more than just a concert,” Harrison said.
Earlier this year, the hotel rebranded one of its suites into “the Taylor.”
The 514-square-foot, deluxe one-bedroom suite promises a “feel of sultry refinement” and has an almost equal-sized terrace . The room is open for a limited time, expected to stick around until the end of November.
It features decor inspired by the superstar herself, including visuals from her albums, and offers guests their own custom friendship bracelets, a curated playlist and a bottle of Prosecco.
Rates for “the Taylor” currently range from $3,500 to a little under $4,300 a night before tax, which would boost the price to upwards of $5,000 a night.
The hotel says most of Swift’s eras will be reimagined on the other hotel floors, and in the lobby and a lounge, available to guests between Nov. 13 and 24.
Here’s what has been confirmed so far:
The ‘Red’ floor
As the name indicates, the fourth floor of the Bisha will be glowing in red.
Any Swiftie would recognize what Taylor Swift era this floor represents with its use of red neon lights, posters of the “Red” album and of Swift in outfits from the era, with lyrics from the album’s hit songs displayed on the wall.
The Bisha will be reflect Swift’s “Red era” throughout the fourth floor, including references to the pop star’s red heart-shaped glasses and guitar, and black bowler hat — and, of course, custom friendship bracelets.
The ‘Folklore’ floor
The fifth level of the Bisha is a nod to Swift’s eighth studio album, released in 2020.
A main feature greets guests in the hallway, right as they exit the elevator.
The Bisha said it has created a cabin modelled after the enchanting cabin Swift uses during her “Folklore” set on the Eras Tour.
A first look at the floor was unveiled earlier this month. Thought details about the suites on this level are limited, the hotel says it will aim to provide an “immersive experience” during one’s stay.
The ‘Midnights’ floor
The hotel said the “Midnights” floor will be “dark” and, as soon as guests step out of the elevator, there will be a projection of a clock with the hand striking 12.
The Taylor suite is located on the “Midnights” floor, where all the rooms are designed by Kravitz Design.
The ‘1989’ floor
It has been confirmed the floor will take influence from the album cover of the “Crystal Skies Blue” edition of “1989 (Taylor’s Version).”
“1989 will be a display of blue and white and white birds hanging overhead, styled after the album cover,” the hotel told the Star.
The ‘Speak Now’ floor
The hotel couldn’t confirm too many details of this floor, which is set to resemble one of the pop star’s earlier successful albums .
The hotel said the floor’s colour theme will be purple, inspired by Swift’s purple dress, and will incorporate her “iconic country guitar.”
The ‘Lover’ lounge
Swifties staying at the hotel can gather and make new friends at the Bisha’s “Lover” lounge over six days.
Harrison says it’s a place where guests could make personalized friendship bracelets with others who share their love for Swift.
The lounge also provides a space for Swifties to get “concert-ready” and glammed up before the show with makeup touch-up stations as well as glitter stations to add “shimmer” to their outfits.
Guests can also sip Taylor-inspired cocktails.
The ‘Reputation’ lobby
Harrison said the lobby will see a “reputation” transformation with touches that mimic the era during which Swift released her sixth studio album of the same name.
The space will be styled with newsprint and a mysterious snakehead replica above the lobby, an homage to Swift’s snake theme from her “Reputation” era.
Harrison said even what front desk team members wear will be inspired by Swift’s “Reputation” era.
The lobby will be unveiled on Nov. 14, the day of the first Toronto Eras Tour show.
What can Swifties expect during a stay at the Bisha Hotel?
Harrison said Swifties can expect more than “just your normal stay in a hotel.”
“What we’re trying to do is provide more than just three hours of entertainment,” Harrison said, referring to the usual duration of a Swift concert. “We’re trying to find a place that provides something that can extend that experience.
“As the ultimate fan headquarters, Bisha is the ideal spot to exchange friendship bracelets, sing along to favourite tracks and create unforgettable memories during this historic event,” the hotel said.
Harrison said the hotel is seeing a higher demand for bookings than during previous Novembers, but rooms are still available; however, they’re “shrinking day by day.”
