The Toronto Raptors will be without All-Star Scottie Barnes for at least a few more games.

The Raptors said Tuesday that Barnes has a right ankle sprain and will be re-evaluated in a week.

Barnes suffered the injury on Monday in a loss to the New York Knicks.

He was diagnosed with a right ankle sprain after rolling it in the third quarter and ruled out for the rest of the contest.

Barnes was spotted in a walking boot on Tuesday, and the team said he will have more imagining done on Wednesday before providing an update on his status.

After Monday’s game, head coach Darko Rajakovic told reporters that X-rays on Barnes’s ankle came back negative.

While Barnes is averaging career-highs of 21 points, 8.7 rebounds and 7.8 assists through this year — fresh off inking a five-year maximum contract extension that could reach up to $270 million — he’s only played in 13 games due to injury. He missed 11 games earlier this season due to an orbital fracture.
