1 person rescued from a house fire in Etobicoke, 3 officers sent to hospital

Emergency crews responded to a 2-alarm residential fire in Etobicoke on Sunday afternoon.

Toronto Fire Services were called to a home on Upper Humber Drive, near Finch Avenue West and Highway 427 just after 12:30 p.m.

Upon arrival, crews spotted visible flames and pulled a woman from the fire during a search of the home. She was transferred to the care of paramedics and treated at the scene.

Three police officers who entered the home were also taken to a hospital where they are being treated for smoke inhalation. No other injuries were reported.

Crews say the main body of the fire has been knocked down, but the blaze was still ongoing as of 2 p.m.

No other details have been released.
