A woman in her 80s has suffered life-threatening injuries following a two-alarm blaze at an apartment building in midtown.
Firefighters were called to a building in the Yonge Street and Davisville Avenue area just after 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.
There were reports of a large fire coming from the 24th floor of the building.
Several residents had to be evacuated before the blaze was extinguished.
Fire crews say they rescued one person from the unit.
Police say a woman in her 80s was taken to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.
