Man, 34, arrested in violent Mississauga home invasion two years ago

A 34-year-old man is facing charges in connection with a violent home invasion robbery in Mississauga two years ago.

Police in Peel Region say on the morning of October 23, 2023, four suspects forced their way into a home in the Mavis Road and Bristol Road West area.

The four, who were wearing hard hats and carrying clipboards, then allegedly assaulted the victims in the home while brandishing a handgun and demanding property and money.

Police say the victims suffered numerous serious but non life-threatening injuries.

On Wednesday, investigators announced they had arrested 34-year-old Clifford Francois of no fixed address and charged him with robbery, forcible confinement and assault causing bodily harm.

“This investigation remains ongoing and police anticipate more charges could be laid,” police said in a release.
