A man who was prohibited from driving in Ontario and out on probation is facing charges related to an alleged break-and-enter at a Mississauga residence that saw the accused steal a 2016 Porsche from the homeowner’s driveway.

On June 15, 2024, Peel Regional Police began investigating a break-in and theft at a residence in the Lorne Park Road and Lakeshore Road West area.

It’s alleged the suspect broke into the home and stole property, as well as the victim’s vehicle, a 2016 Porsche Cayenne. No injuries were reported.

Police said the suspect was on probation for multiple criminal convictions and banned from driving across the province at the time of the offences.

On Tuesday, authorities arrested 21-year-old Caden Edwards of Barrie. He faces several charges, including breaking and entering with intent to commit an indictable offence, theft of a motor vehicle, breach of probation, and operation while prohibited.

The accused was held for a bail hearing. Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators.
