The federal Liberal leadership convention is underway at the Rogers Centre in downtown Ottawa as party grassroots gather to select their next leader.
A crowd of partisans waved candidate placards to booming music on the packed convention floor.
Former Bank of Canada governor Mark Carney remains the presumed front runner. Former finance minister Chrystia Freeland, Liberal MP Karina Gould and Montreal businessman Frank Baylis are all vying for the party’s top job.
