Alberta government panel urges referendum to quit Canada Pension Plan

EDMONTON – An Alberta panel re-examining the province’s relationship with Ottawa says it’s time to ditch the RCMP and hold a referendum on quitting the Canada Pension Plan.

But a report from the Alberta Next panel says any referendum on leaving the CPP should be held after residents receive more information on the pros and cons.
