Algonquin College president Claude Brulé explains why more cuts are coming

Part of the reason that we’re doing this work is so that we can continue to invest in new programming areas. It’s important for us to continue to innovate and be responsive to both the provincial government, especially around their protecting Ontario plan, as well as the federal priorities that the new (Prime Minister Mark) Carney government is making news about: investments in housing, infrastructure, defence, health care, AI, technology. All of those are areas that we’re wanting to create more programming in and support, for the future of the college, the future the province and the future of the country.
