Art Toronto Opening Night 2025 on Oct. 23 brought together many of Canada’s leading artists, gallerists, curators and collectors for a celebration of the nation’s artistic excellence on the world stage, all in support of the McMichael Canadian Art Collection. Among the guests were Edith Dumont, lieutenant governor of Ontario, and Siamak Hariri, founding principal of Hariri Pontarini Architects, who was announced as the lead for the museum’s forthcoming redevelopment. At the Metro Toronto Convention Centre event, major museums and top collectors made key acquisitions — setting the tone for a weekend of talks, panels and tours.
