TORONTO – Barrick Mining Corp. has named Helen Cai as its new chief financial officer, effective March 1.
The company says Cai will replace Graham Shuttleworth, who is leaving Barrick after the announcement and filing of the company’s year-end results.
The change comes as Barrick continues its search for a new chief executive following the departure of Mark Bristow from the job last year.
Cai has served on the Barrick board since November 2021.
Mark Hill, the company’s interim president and chief executive, says Cai has deep financial expertise and decades of mining sector experience.
Barrick is expected to report its fourth-quarter and full-year results on Feb. 5.
