Burlington City Hall is currently under a hold and secure, the City says.
In a social media post, the City of Burlington said it is actively monitoring the situation, and working with Halton Regional Police to resolve the matter.
City Hall will remain closed for the rest of the day.
Burlington Today reports the hold and secure was put in place after a threat at around 2 p.m.
The nature of the threat is not clear at this point.
