Canada’s economy contracts in May, but there were signs of a June rebound

OTTAWA – The Canadian economy contracted again in May, Statistics Canada said Thursday, but signs of a rebound in June could see growth hold flat for the quarter overall.

Real gross domestic product fell 0.1 per cent in May, matching the decline in April.
