A car drove into the water at Dow’s Lake on Monday night, according to Ottawa Police.
Ottawa Police said they responded to a single-vehicle collision last night shortly after 8 p.m. at the Queen Elizabeth Driveway and Lakeside Avenue and located a vehicle that had entered Dow’s Lake.
The driver, who was the lone occupant of the vehicle, was able to exit the vehicle and was transported to a local hospital, an Ottawa police spokesperson said.
The adult male was taken to the hospital “as a precaution,” according to an Ottawa paramedics spokesperson.
The RCMP has since taken control of the investigation and did not respond for comment in time for publication.
