A 25-year-old Carleton Place man is facing charges as the result of an intimate partner violence investigation by the OPP.
The Lanark County detachment began its investigation Sunday after sexual assault allegations were made.
The man, whose name was not released to protect the identity of the victim, has been charged with sexual assault and assault, the OPP said in a news release Monday.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
