CBC's 'Bird Names' documentary has premiere at Soho House

Days before the official March 12 release of CBC’s “Bird Names,” a documentary short directed by award-winning environmental journalist Aliya Jasmine, the cast, crew, CBC partners, guests and media gathered at Toronto’s Soho House for an exclusive premiere. The intimate evening offered guests a first look at the film, which explores the complex history behind the naming of nearly 150 North American bird species. Following the screening, attendees were invited to a Q&A moderated by eTalk host Tyrone Edwards, where the filmmakers reflected on the film’s cultural and environmental significance.
