If you waited in a queue with tens of thousands of Coldplay fans and didn’t snag tickets for the band’s two Toronto concerts, don’t fret: the mega band just announced two additional shows in the city.
In a post on X, Coldplay said that it was adding the Toronto concerts “due to spectacular demand.” Toronto is the only confirmed Canadian stop for Coldplay’s 2025 “Music of the Spheres” world tour; it’s also the only North American city where the band will play four shows. It’s Coldplay’s first Toronto concert stop in eight years.
The new shows are set for July 11 and July 12; the previously announced concerts are July 7 and July 8. The band will play at the new Rogers Stadium, an open-air facility which is being built at the former site of Downsview Airport and is set to open in June 2025 with a 50,000 seating capacity.
The North American leg of the tour was announced on Tuesday and tickets went on sale on Friday morning for those with Ticketmaster presale access.
Ticket sales for the two new shows have already began for those with presale access.
Coldplay also added new dates to Stanford, Boston and Miami. Other U.S. cities on the tour include Las Vegas, Denver and Nashville.
Tickets to the U.K. and Europe leg are currently sold out.
Formed in London in 1997, Coldplay consists of frontman Chris Martin, guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, drummer Will Champion and the band’s unofficial fifth member, Phil Harvey, Coldplay’s manager.
The band’s 10th studio album, “Moon Music,” was released last week.
