Conservancy to safeguard 91 hectares of rural Ottawa wetlands

The land is part of the Marlborough Wetland system, located within the Marlborough Forest that spreads across thousands of hectares of land in the southwest corner of Ottawa, near North Gower. The city owns approximately 8,149 hectares of the large natural area, and it’s home to a variety of wildlife including deer, grouse, moose, beaver, herons, turtles and frogs.
