A Toronto woman charged with mischief after allegedly disrupting the 2023 Giller Prize gala ceremony has had her case withdrawn by crown prosecutors.
Court documents obtained by the Toronto Star confirm the case was dropped last Thursday, more than two years after the incident.
The woman was one of five people who were arrested in connection with the protest at the literary award ceremony on Nov. 13, 2023. The four other arrestees previously had their charges withdrawn in December 2024.
