Cyclist killed in south-end Ottawa collision with vehicle

A woman in her 70s was killed when the bicycle she was riding and a motor vehicle collided in Ottawa’s south end on Saturday.

The Ottawa Police Service said emergency crews responded to the collision on Mitch Owens Road between Spratt and Limebank roads at about 12:30 p.m.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, a July 26 media release said.

The investigation was ongoing, police added. Investigators would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or may have dashcam or surveillance video of the collision, but has not yet spoken to police.
