Death of Oakville man ruled a homicide

The death of a 43-year-old Oakville man over the weekend has been declared a homicide.

Halton police were called to Montagio Custom Tailoring in the Lakeshore Road East and Navy Street area around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday for reports of a suspicious death.

The victim, 43-year-old Baljeet ‘Bally’ Toki, was found dead inside.

After an investigation, Halton police have classified his death as a homicide and the Major Crime Bureau is now leading the investigation.

Anyone who was in the area between 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on March 22 with information is asked to contact police.

Investigators say there is no known threat to public safety. No suspect information has been released.
