Could there by a new Taylor Swift album on the horizon? Swifties certainly seem to think so.
On Monday, the pop superstar’s official management and social media team posted a series of photos of Swift wearing orange, alongside a cryptic caption: “Thinking about when she said ‘See you next era…’”
Fans were quick to react to the post, which many are interpreting as a teaser for what could be Swift’s 12th studio album and her first album of original music since 2024’s “The Tortured Poets Department.”
“Haven’t even heard it and already it’s my favorite (sic) album,” reads one of the top comments on Instagram.
Others weren’t so sure. “WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?????” another user responded, with a series of orange heart emojis.
More fuel was added to the fire shortly after the official @taylornation post, when the Instagram account for “New Heights” — a podcast that is co-hosted by Swift’s boyfriend and NFL star Travis Kelce — announced a “special episode with a VERY special guest” that will air on Wednesday.
It didn’t take long for Swifties to point out that the “New Heights” teaser had an orange background and a blacked-out silhouette of someone who sure looks like Swift.
Others pointed out that Swift’s current label, Republic Records, “liked” the New Heights post on Instagram.
“Yall really know how to get the swifties riled up on a Monday morning,” a user commented.
Swift, 35, has emerged in recent years as one of the biggest and most celebrated voices in popular music. In December, she wrapped up the record-shattering Eras Tour, which included 149 shows over five continents (including six shows in Toronto) and raked in an estimated $2.2 billion (U.S.).
This spring, Swift announced that she has purchased the master recordings for her first six albums, giving her complete control of her entire musical catalogue, including her music videos, album art, concert films and more.
Here’s how other fans are reacting to the rumours.
