Paramedics said a man in his 70s was in stable condition after the vehicle he was driving drove through the window of a business on Riverside Drive on Friday afternoon.
The Ottawa Paramedic Service spokesperson said the man was transported to hospital as a precautionary measure. There were no injuries reported among the people who were inside the business at the time of the crash.
Ottawa Fire Services said its structural collapse team confirmed that the integrity of the structure had been compromised, so it began shoring it up to provide temporary support.
