A 71-year-old man from Ottawa and a 55-year-old man from Renfrew both died when the vehicles they were driving collided on Highway 17 in the Township of McNab/Braeside on Saturday afternoon.
The Ontario Provincial Police said its Renfrew detachment was investigating the collision between a pickup truck and another passenger vehicle that occurred at about 1 p.m. on Highway 17 between Anderson Road and McCallum Drive.
The highway remained closed for several hours after the collision to allow for the police investigation.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam video from the area at the time of the collision was asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at ontariocrimestoppers.ca.
The Township of McNab-Braeside is about 70 kilometres west of Ottawa.
