One person was dead and several others were injured to varying degrees following a multi-vehicle collision south of Eganville on Tuesday, the Ontario Provincial Police reported.
Online posts by the OPP said the crash occurred just past 12 noon on Highway 41 between McGrath Road and Spring Creek Road.
Police said late Tuesday afternoon that no further details on the victims would be released “at this time.”
Highway 41 remained closed in the area for several hours while police investigated the collision.
Eganville is about 130 kilometres northwest of Ottawa.
