Fête Chinoise debuts new community event at Markham's Pride of Canada Carousel

For its 10th anniversary Fête Chinoise debuted its newest community event, “A Mid-Autumn Night’s Dream,” celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival. The event, held at the Pride of Canada Carousel in Markham on Sept. 27, featured an art installation of more than 1,200 glowing lanterns with a heart design. Over 1,000 people attended, including 450 children who enjoyed unlimited carousel rides and popcorn, cultural activities, games with prizes and a festive marketplace. The Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra, Laurence Liang, Leona Lai, Calvin Lai and hip-hop dance group S2N all performed.
