On Oct. 24, Shelter Movers held its annual gala, A Moving Affair, at the Four Seasons Hotel in support of survivors fleeing gender-based violence. With presenting sponsor RBC Capital Markets, the event raised nearly $600,000, inspired in part by Cait Alexander’s personal story of triumph. Shelter Movers is a national, volunteer-powered charitable organization providing free moving and storage services to individuals and families fleeing abuse.
