Gatineau police are seeking public assistance following the arrest Tuesday of a 27-year-old Ottawa man on sexual assault charges.
“Investigators have reason to fear that (Lenny Owen Mudugu) may have other victims and that some are still hesitant to come forward,” police said in a release.
Mudugu was arrested Jan. 13 and charged with sexual assault and other charges.
He was released on conditions that he not be in any park or in the presence of minors.
Gatineau police “has information indicating that Lenny Owen Mudugu’s alleged victims may be between 15 and 18 years old. He reportedly met his victims through social media platforms such as Snapchat and TikTok,” police said.
Following social media contact, he allegedly met victims between Nov. 7 and Nov. 17, 2025, at various locations, as well as in a silver-coloured vehicle.
Because several alleged victims have been identified, the Serial Crime Investigation Management (SEIM) structure, coordinated by the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), has been deployed.
“This provincial coordination allows for the pooling of police resources and aims to better protect victims,” police said.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact the Gatineau INFO line at 819-243-4636, option 5.
