With all due respect to last week’s awards program, this was the heavy-hitting red carpet we’ve all been waiting for. The Golden Globes always come with colossal expectations: appearances by TV and film’s most in-demand stars, a never-know-what-you’re-going-to-get show plus the fashion peacocking to match. And with the recent designer debuts destined to have their first spin in the real(-ish) world, all eyes were on the red carpet.

Hudson Williams
From Kamloops, B.C. to the Golden Globes red carpet in six weeks flat — that’s the underdog storyline for Hudson Williams of ”Heated Rivalry.” A debut like this deserved a big style moment: an ivory Armani dinner jacket, unexpected cummerbund, waaay unbuttoned silk shirt (natch!) and black trousers. A sprinkling of serpentine Bvlgari jewels capped off the winning look.
Selena Gomez
Someone had to take Matthieu Blazy’s game-changing Chanel for a spin and we’re so glad it was Selena Gomez. Nominated for her role in “Only Murders in the Building,” Gomez opted for the Old Hollywood route (her style mainstay!) in a body-skimming, black velvet gown punctuated with a feathers-like-flowers embellishment.
Kate Hudson
Kate Hudson shimmers in custom silver Armani Privé with Swarovski rhinestone details. The star is nominated for Best Actor by a Female in a Motion Picture — Musical or Comedy for her role in “Song Sung Blue.”
Teyana Taylor
Only an hour into the Golden Globes red carpet and we were ready to christen our best dressed of the night: Teyana Taylor. Celebrating her first ever Globes nomination for “One Battle After Another,” she showed up in a perfectly folded and draped Schiaparelli Haute Couture gown with a cheeky little surprise in the back: a bejewelled bow on the ultra-low back covering just a hint of, ahem, crack.
Rose Byrne
Black was overwhelmingly the shade of the night (a sign of the times, one might posit), which made Rose Byrne’s electric green Chanel gown all the more eye-popping. A delicately embroidered neckline and tie front balanced out the standout hue for the “If I Had Legs I’d Kick You” nominee.
Michael B. Jordan
With his mother on his arm, the “Sinners” star (and Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture — Drama nominee) already had our vote, but his custom Prada get-up really confirmed it. The chocolate brown double-breasted suit — adorned by a diamond-encrusted starburst brooch — was broken up by a butter yellow dress shirt and a contrasting black tie. If you ever needed proof that the matchy-matchy menswear look was over, this was it.
Pamela Anderson
When everyone zigs, Pamela Anderson zags — and this year’s Golden Globes red carpet is no exception. Self-styled in a head-to-toe white Ferragamo look, the Canadian icon paired an unexpected button-up (peep the extra-long cuffs!) with a floor-length skirt. A smattering of Pandora jewelry was the low-key finishing touch only she could pull off.
Jennifer Lawrence
A near-naked dress is not something we’ve come to expect from Jennifer Lawrence — a solid-hued, strapless gown is more her speed. Precisely why we’re obsessed with her Dior gown that relied on romantic floral appliqués to cover the NSFTV (that’s not safe for TV!) bits.
Emma Stone
There’s a little bit of dress code leeway at the Globes (the open bar is a good indicator!) and the “Bugonia” star — nominated in the Best Actress in a Motion Picture — Musical or Comedy category — totally ran with it. Her butter-yellow Louis Vuitton two-piece — satin on the top, fringed on the bottom — was very ‘90s minimalism, very add-to-your-Pinterest-board material.
Chase Infiniti
Every red carpet needs a “one to watch” nomination and in 2026, it’s Chase Infiniti. Up for a Best Actor by a Female in a Motion Picture — Musical or Comedy award for her role in “One Battle After Another,” the new-on-the-scene starlet donned a must-see sculptural bustier by Louis Vuitton. Encrusted, mirrored and honestly, the whole moment, it was paired with a luxe-looking, black velvet skirt that fell to a train behind her.
Miley Cyrus
Miley Cyrus never skips an opportunity to go all-out at an awards show. Case in point: her classic black Saint Laurent gown punctuated by anything-but-basic details: the long sleeves, the all-over sequins, the décolletage-revealing neckline bookended by pleated, fan-like elements.
Zoë Kravitz
Just when you thought Zoë Kravitz couldn’t outshine her own best-dressed moments from years past, the actress pulls out this boudoir-inspired Saint Laurent dress. Lace trimmed, petal pink and yes, perfect in every way, the slinky slip — and elegantly piled-up hair — only bolsters her style icon resumé.
Adam Brody and Leighton Meester
We don’t usually spotlight a couple, but sometimes, and especially when you’re Adam Brody and Leighton Meester, a twosome deserves a style nod together. Much like the unexpected pair themselves (hello, Blair Waldorf and Seth Cohen!) the “Nobody Wants This” actors were a master class in colour clashing. Meester’s Miu Miu gown — a baby pink column emphasized by light-catching paillettes and a chartreuse sash — stood beautifully beside Brody’s plaid grey blazer and high-waisted black trousers. Forget matching his tie to your dress; this is how to do it, people!
Jessie Buckley
We’re hoping Jessie Buckley makes more arty, award-worthy films if only for another parade of ace red carpet looks next year. Equally talented in the performance realm — she’s got a best actor nom for her role in “Hamnet”— the Irish star went for an icy-blue Dior gown outfitted with faint floral embroidery, a high leg slit and a volume-creating, asymmetrical neckline, an unmistakable Jonathan Anderson signature.
