Clark was was born on July 6, 1970, and he grew up in Ottawa. He would spend many of his summers with his extended Clark family at the “farm” near Mount St. Patrick, or at the family homes in Renfrew, and with his extended Hoey and Foley families in Ottawa and Athens, as well as Lake Bernard, Que.
