A heavy rainfall warning has been issued for Ottawa this Monday.
The advisories posted by Environment Canada this morning projected between 10 mm and 20 mm more rain on top of bringing the expected total over the past day to between 20 mm and 40 mm of rain.
” The ground, already near saturation, has little ability to absorb further rainfall,” the weather agency said in its yellow rainfall warning.
The rain is expected to continue into the afternoon Monday according to the weather agency.
Water will likely pool on roads and in low-lying areas, Environment Canada said.
Monday’s precipitation, another round of heavy rain may hit the region Tuesday.
