Hudson’s Bay Company is scheduled to be back in court this morning, where it’s expected to seek approval from a judge to sell three of its leases to B.C. mall owner Weihong Liu.
The three stores are in malls Liu already owns, so the purchase is expected to be approved.
Liu is seeking to buy a total of 28 leases from the insolvent department store chain. Landlords for 23 of the other 25 have objected to her purchase plans, according to documents filed with the court last week.
More to come.
