Human remains were discovered in the area of Riverside Park in Pembroke on Thursday, the Ontario Provincial Police reported.
An online post by the OPP mid-evening on Thursday said there was thought to be no threat to public safety “and no indication of foul play at this time.”
The investigation was continuing, the post added.
