MONTREAL – Innergex Renewable Energy Inc. says Michel Letellier is retiring as president and chief executive after nearly 30 years at the company, including nearly 20 in the top job.
The company says Jean Trudel will succeed Letellier as CEO, effective March 13.
Under Letellier’s leadership since 2007, the renewable power producer says it has grown from 13 facilities to 89 operations across four countries.
Trudel joined Innergex in 2002 as vice-president of corporate development, and has held a variety of positions at the company. He has been chief financial officer since 2022.
Innergex says Letellier will remain involved with the company by serving on the investment committee and acting as an adviser to Trudel to ensure a smooth transition.
Quebec fund manager La Caisse took Innergex private last year in a deal that valued the company at $10 billion, including debt.
