Prime Minister Justin Trudeau‘s 17-year-old son has just released his debut single.
Xavier Trudeau’s R&B track “Til The Night’s Done” released just after midnight on Friday across major streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
Recorded under the name Xav, the single also features additional vocals from younger sister Ella-Grace Trudeau.
The track, which includes the lyric “We could roll sum, we could light one,” was produced by Duava and engineered by Tekika, said Alex Van Dusen, a spokesperson for Pathway Music Group, the management company Trudeau’s Instagram profile links to.
The official music video for the song will be released at 4:30 p.m. on YouTube.
Last month, Trudeau teased a snippet of the song in an Instagram post.
The reel shows the him walking around at night in a hoodie and performing in a recording studio while a beat plays in the background.
“Xav began by sharing his passion with his friends and this eventually developed into a more serious approach,” said Alex Van Dusen, a spokesperson for Pathway Music Group, the management company Trudeau’s Instagram profile links to. “‘Til The Night’s Done’ is a dark and ambient RnB love song.”
The singer has not yet revealed his plans for what’s next.
