VAUGHAN – Canada’s Wonderland says all kids aged 15 and younger will need a chaperone at the amusement park when it reopens for the season next month.
The popular attraction in Vaughan, Ont., says the new policy will be in effect May 1 and will help maintain “a safe and enjoyable environment” for all guests.
Canada’s Wonderland says guests who are 15 or younger must be accompanied by a chaperone aged 21 or older starting at 4 p.m. every day in order to enter or remain in the park.
It says each chaperone may supervise up to 10 young guests per day.
Canada’s Wonderland previously implemented a chaperone policy last fall for its Halloween Haunt event.
At the time, the park said the policy was in response to “unruly” behaviour seen at other amusement parks and entertainment venues.
