A 43-year-old man has been charged with 16 sexual-assault offences in Leeds County after an alleged victim came forward to provincial police.
Among the 16 offences, Michael Nadzipov is being charged with sexual assault on a person under 16 years old, forcible confinement, luring a person under 18 years old through online communication and sexual exploitation.
The name of the victim who came forward is not disclosed under a publication ban because they are a minor.
The Ontario Provincial Police first arrested Nadzipov on Dec. 11. He is set to appear in a Brockville court again on Dec. 29.
The OPP said they encourage anyone who may have known Nadzipov in any capacity to assist in their investigation.
