MONTREAL – Lightspeed Commerce Inc. is making changes to its board of directors with the appointment of two new members and the departure of two others.
The company, which is based in Montreal and sells payment software to businesses, says Sameer Samat and Odilon Almeida will join its board, effective Oct. 1.
Samat is president of the Android ecosystem at Google, while Almeida is managing principal of AJ Holdings and operating partner at Advent International.
As part of the changes, Lightspeed says Patrick Pichette and Rob Williams will be stepping down from the board.
Pichette, who has served on the board for seven years including multiple terms as chair, will leave effective Sept. 30.
Williams, who has been on the board for more than seven years including a term as chair of the company’s risk committee, will leave on Dec. 31.
