Man claiming fake disability charged in alleged sexual assault

A 39-year-old man who claimed to have a disability in order to get two women to help him is facing a charge of sexual assault.

Toronto police say a man approached two women in the Pape Avenue and Gamble Avenue area on January 27 and claimed he was visually impaired and lost. He asked the women to help him get home and they agreed.

Investigators say once they reached the man’s home, he allegedly sexually assaulted one of the women.

Enayatullah Amiri, 39, of Toronto, is facing a charge of sexual assault.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and have released the man’s photo out of concern that there may be other potential victims.
