A man in his 20s is dead following a head-on collision near North Gower on Monday morning, according to Ottawa police.
Emergency crews responded to reports of a two-vehicle collision at around 7:40 a.m. on Prince of Wales Drive near Third Line Road, south of Ottawa.
A head-on collision took place between a car and a pickup truck, according to Ottawa paramedics.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the pickup truck was taken to the hospital in stable condition with non life-threatening injuries, paramedics said.
Police asked anyone who witnessed the collision or may have dashcam video to contact its fatal collisions unit at at 613-236-1222, extension 2345.
