Ottawa police are looking for witnesses after a man was shot in an “an altercation” in the 1600 block of Bank Street Saturday afternoon.
Police were called to the scene following a number of calls reporting an altercation just before 4 p.m.
“One man was located with gunshot wounds and was transported to hospital in serious but stable condition,” police said in a release.
Police believe the shooting was “a targeted incident.”
No one is in custody at this time.
Officers are seeking any witnesses or people with information they have not already spoken with investigators.
The Guns and Gangs Unit is continuing the investigation.
