Manitoba government plans to explore ways to support print media outlets

WINNIPEG – The Manitoba government is planning to look at ways to support print journalism, ranging from big daily newspapers to small weekly publications and cultural outlets in different languages.

The NDP government wants to strike a legislature committee, which would include Opposition Progressive Conservatives, to consider what kind of support might be offered and which outlets would qualify.
