On Oct. 24, Garden of Hope, a fundraiser for Ernestine’s Women’s Shelter, transformed the immersive exhibition Illuminarium into a symbol of unity and resilience, where Mayor Olivia Chow moved the audience with her story of witnessing domestic violence. Since 1983, Ernestine’s has supported more than 15,000 individuals fleeing abuse, offering a lifeline for women, children and gender-diverse people.
