The closure also affects the Panorama Café, Second Cup, CINÉ+, the Gift Shop and the Canadian Children’s Museum.

“While we do plan to reopen our doors once water service has been reestablished, we do not have a timeline at this time for when the work will be completed,” the museum said in a news release.

On Wednesday, the city said two water main breaks that occurred Tuesday on Laurier Street in the Hull area have been repaired.

However, water continued to flow between Victoria Street and Allumetières Boulevard, and the city said Wednesday afternoon more work will be required on Thursday.

A further street closure may become necessary, officials said.

A preventative boil water advisory is in place for both sides of Laurier Street, as well as the Jos Montferrand building.

People under a boil-water advisory should boil their water for one minute before consuming it. Continue using this precaution until the city lifts the advisory.
