A new podcast, Altadena: After The Fire, will chronicle the road to recovery in Altadena, California as this community navigates the aftermath of the Eaton Fire. The deadly January wildfire claimed 17 lives and more than 9,000 structures—including thousands of homes—across Altadena and surrounding areas including Pasadena.
With new episodes airing each month through October, join host and executive producer, Colby “Colb” Tyner, for in-depth reporting on recovery efforts in Altadena and firsthand stories of loss and survival from this historic center of Black prosperity and culture.
“It is very important that we do not forget this tragedy,” said Tyner. “As national news coverage has slowly dwindled once the fires were extinguished, we wanted to be a voice for the residents of Altadena and keep the rest of the world informed of what is happening.”
Altadena: After The Fire will examine the environmental and political factors at play as residents navigate rebuilding efforts—featuring insights from elected officials, community leaders, business owners, and survivors.
